Sumner Pops to Present Annual Christmas Concert
The Sumner County Symphony, in cooperation with the Department of Children’s Services, will present its annual Christmas concert on Friday night, December 8th, 2006, 8:00 P.M., at the Trinity Music City Auditorium, 1 Music Village Boulevard, Hendersonville.
The evening’s offering, Christmas . . . A Sense of the Season, features traditional holiday music like Silent Night, Jingle Bells, and Hark the Herald Angels Sing, speckled with new yuletide classics written by in-house composer, Jonathan Richard Cring: I Sure like the Idea of Christmas and Crackling Logs.
It is an evening of engaging the sensibilities of the sights, sounds, tastes, scents and touches that make up this delightful holiday season.
“Mr. Cring is a winner of a Billboard Music Award," shares Maestro Janet Clazzy, "and continues to develop musical treasures that are inspired, spawned, promoted and produced in our county, while finding audiences all across the country."
Each year the Sumner County Symphony shares a holiday concert, free to the public, to both entertain and bring heightened awareness concerning the progress and many opportunities available in the Foster Children’s program. Currently, 71% of the foster children in Sumner County need parents.
